Leg Immobilizer Sizing Guide: How to Measure for the Right Fit
Share
The difference between a brace that feels amazing and one that disappoints almost always comes down to sizing. A few minutes with a tape measure before you order will save you a lot of frustration. Here's exactly how to measure for a full leg immobilizer.
What to measure
Two measurements matter most. First, your thigh circumference: measure around the widest part of your upper thigh. Second, your total leg height: measure from the top of your thigh down to your ankle. Write both numbers down before comparing to a size chart.
Reading the size chart
As a reference, the LLC Brace full leg immobilizer uses these ranges: Small fits a thigh circumference up to about 50 cm with a total height near 60 cm; Medium fits roughly 50–60 cm with a height near 65 cm; and Large fits about 60–70 cm with a height near 70 cm.
The between-sizes rule
If your measurements fall between two sizes, size up. A slightly roomier immobilizer is far more comfortable for long sessions than one that pinches or cuts off circulation, and adjustable straps let you tighten it to a snug, secure fit.
Checking the fit once it arrives
A good fit feels firm and supportive but never painful. If you notice numbness, tingling, or pressure points, loosen the straps. The panel should hold your knee straight without digging into your thigh or ankle.
Ready to size up?
Compare your measurements to the chart on the LLC Brace product page and pick the size that matches — sizing up if you're on the border.
